Scope of the Software
This website provides information about 3D Gen Studio, an open-source tool. The software is provided as a self-hosted application. By cloning the repository and running it locally, you acknowledge that you are operating the software on your own infrastructure.
This means you are responsible for your runtime environment, the services you connect to, and any output generated by the software on your machine.
Key Point: 3D Gen Studio is a local tool, not a SaaS. We provide the code; you provide the machine, the API keys, and the compute.
User Responsibility — The "Self-Hosted" Rule
As the operator of a self-hosted application, full operational responsibility rests with you:
- Environment: You are responsible for maintaining the Node.js environment, dependencies, and local storage required to run this app.
- API Costs: You are solely responsible for all costs, credits, and billing associated with the API keys you provide (e.g., ComfyUI providers, 3D generation APIs).
- Security: Since the software stores sensitive API keys in local files, the security of your local machine and those files is entirely your responsibility.
- Generated Content: You are responsible for ensuring the content you generate complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
Usage Restrictions
Your use of the software is governed by the 3D Gen Studio Community (Non-Commercial) License. You may not use this website or the software to:
- Create a competing paid SaaS (Software as a Service) built on top of this codebase.
- Circumvent or abuse the billing systems of external API providers you configure within the software.
- Generate content that violates local or international laws, including but not limited to CSAM or non-consensual depictions.
Commercial use requires a separate agreement. Please open an issue or contact us via GitHub to discuss commercial licensing.
No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
The software and website are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding:
- The quality, accuracy, or usability of generated 3D meshes, textures, or any other output.
- The uptime, stability, or continued maintenance of the project.
- Compatibility with any particular external API, ComfyUI version, or operating system.
Limitation of Liability: In no event shall the Author be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages including, but not limited to, GPU failure, data loss, local file corruption, or API billing surprises resulting from the use of this software.
By using this software, you acknowledge these limitations and agree to hold the authors harmless from any claims arising from your use of the application.
